Agreeing to these terms
Please read these terms before using the site. By browsing it, booking through it or placing an order, you accept them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the website — you’re always welcome to call or visit us instead.
Health information is not a consultation
Our articles and service pages are written to help you understand your options. They are general guidance, written without knowing your medical history, so they can’t replace advice from a pharmacist, GP or other healthcare professional who has assessed you.
In an emergency, call 999. If you need urgent advice that isn’t an emergency, call NHS 111. Don’t wait to seek help because of anything you’ve read on this website.
Appointments and services
You can book many of our services online. A booking reserves a time with us; it isn’t a promise of treatment. At your appointment a pharmacist will check that the service is safe and suitable for you, and may decide not to go ahead — if so, we’ll tell you why and suggest what to do next.
- NHS services follow eligibility rules set by the NHS, which we have to apply. They’re free unless a standard NHS charge, such as a prescription charge, applies.
- Private services are paid for. The price is shown before you book, or confirmed at the pharmacy before anything is supplied.
- Changing your plans — if you can’t make an appointment, please cancel or rearrange it so someone else can have the slot. Occasionally we may need to move an appointment ourselves; we’ll contact you if that happens.
Ordering prescriptions and your account
Online bookings, repeat prescription orders and patient accounts are provided through our technology partner, App & Tap. When you use those pages, App & Tap’s own terms and privacy policy apply as well as these.
If you have an account, keep your sign-in details private and give accurate information. Let us know straight away if you think someone else has used your account. We can refuse a request, or suspend access, where we suspect misuse — including any attempt to obtain medicines that wouldn’t be safe or appropriate.
Accuracy of prices and information
We work hard to keep prices, stock levels, opening hours and service details correct, but mistakes can occasionally slip through. If something is listed at a price that is clearly wrong, we’ll get in touch before processing your order rather than hold you to it.
Acceptable use
When using this website, please don’t:
- use it for anything unlawful, or to give us false information;
- try to access parts of it, or data, that aren’t meant for you;
- disrupt, overload or introduce harmful code to the site;
- copy its content in bulk using automated tools.
Using our content
The words, images, design and branding on this website belong to us or to the people who licensed them to us. You may view, print or save pages for your own personal use. Please ask us first before reproducing any of it elsewhere, particularly for commercial purposes.
Using the site on your phone
You can add this website to your phone’s home screen so it opens like an app. It’s the same website, and these terms apply in the same way. Without a connection you’ll only see a basic offline page, so reconnect before relying on any information.
Links to other websites
We link to other organisations, such as the NHS, where we think it helps you. We don’t control those websites and aren’t responsible for what they contain.
Availability
We aim to keep the website running smoothly, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free from errors. We may pause it for maintenance, or change or withdraw parts of it, at any time.
Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law doesn’t allow it to be limited — for example, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your statutory rights as a consumer. Beyond that, we aren’t responsible for losses we couldn’t reasonably have foreseen, or for business losses, because this website is intended for personal use.
Raising a concern
If you’re unhappy with anything, please tell us — we would much rather put it right. Our complaints policy explains how to contact us and what happens next.
Updates and the law that applies
We may revise these terms from time to time, and the date at the top shows the latest version. The terms that apply are the ones shown here when you use the site. They are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear any dispute, although you may also be able to bring a claim in the courts of Scotland or Northern Ireland if you live there.
